Welcome to the official website of Rollin Steady Blues — a four-piece band delivering raw, soulful, authentic Chicago blues. From deep grooves to slide-driven riffs, we keep the blues rolling steady.
Band Bio
Rollin Steady Blues brings together four musicians dedicated to the heart and soul of Chicago blues:
Denny – Bass & Vocals – Influenced early on by the Beatles, Rolling Stones, and The Young Rascals,
Denny later discovered the deeper magic of Cream, Jimi Hendrix, and Led Zeppelin – without realizing he was being
pulled into the blues. By his mid-thirties, blues legends like Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, Buddy Guy, and B.B. King
had become his foundation. Bringing that passion to the group is an honor and a joy.
Don – Lead Guitar – Don’s guitar roots began with classic rock players such as David Gilmour, Ritchie Blackmore, and Jimi Hendrix. After years of performing with Tremor and releasing original music with Second Sight, he returned to live performance through open mic house bands. That’s where he met Denny and joined the lineup, reconnecting with the blues that inspired him from the beginning.
Paul – Rhythm & Slide Guitar, Vocals – Paul caught the blues baling hay on the family farm near Stittsville. After discovering Johnny Winter and The Rolling Stones in high school, he taught guitar to inmates in a federal institution before returning to Ottawa to dive into the local music scene. His slide guitar and rhythm work now help shape the group’s sound.
Rafael – Drums – Raised in Hell’s Kitchen, NYC, Rafael grew up in a musical Cuban–Puerto Rican family and began performing at age six. Trained at the Drummer’s Collective, he built a long career performing in clubs and theaters, sharing stages with artists including Bo Diddley, The Shirelles, Celia Cruz, and Ben E. King. Now based in Ottawa, he anchors the band with decades of experience and groove.
